Behind The Scenes: Drowning Pool - Revolution (The Final Amen) (Official Video)

1. What were the biggest challenges of filming the "Revolution (The Final Amen)" music video live during a surprise performance, and how did you overcome them?

Texas heat.. I know that’s a pretty simple answer but if you know what Texas heat is then you get it. The parking lot scenes were filmed mid-day in the midst of a scorching Texas summer day. We were thrilled that the fans showed up like they did. Said a hell of a lot about the relationship that Drowning Pool has with it’s fanbase, the people that have allowed this band to still be standing strong and swinging for the fences 20+ years since the release of our debut album, Sinner.

2. How did you collaborate with the crew from Caliber TV to ensure they captured the energy of the crowd and the band during such an intimate, up-close recording?

The communication with everyone at Caliber TV was easy from the get-go. We’ve come to realize that anyone or any group that SBG records brings to the table is legit, trust worthy and on the same page.

To be honest, everyone involved lucked out on a rare occasion when the stars aligned on this one. The show at Speaking Rock in El Paso had been booked well before the idea of the video came about and when the idea of a live video struck, it needed to happen like, NOW.. We were all struck with a lucky stick that a crowd like the one that welcomes us in when we play Speaking Rock was on the docket.

3. Were there any memorable or unexpected moments behind the scenes during the shoot that made the recording experience unique?

Nothing behind the scenes really. No one thing specifically anyway.. There were a good amount of laughs had with the people that came out to be a part of it. That was easily my favorite part of the whole experience.
