Behind The Scenes: Light This Night - Crazy (Official Video)

The video was made at the Zeta Factory in Carpi, under the direction of Luca Moretti, in a room specifically set up for the recording. Lights and scenery were arranged here. Initially, we recorded all the choruses, the ending, and the individual playthroughs of each member, dressed in white; subsequently, we recorded the verses wearing black outfits. The visual choice of black and white contrasts the verses with the choruses. In the verses, a story of loss of self is told, symbolized by the color black, while the lights of various colors seek to express different emotions, culminating in the anger that explodes during the breakdown, where red represents the intensity of this feeling. In contrast, in the chorus, the white outfits symbolize a kind of catharsis and a non-conformity to the outside world, leading to an awareness of one’s place within reality. With "Crazy" we wanted to evoke introspective elements and emotional turmoil. Through the lyrics, we aim to tell a journey of self-discovery, an unwavering effort that confronts the feeling of being lost, as expressed in the chorus: "I don't know where I'm going / While all these thoughts keep floating." For us, this journey should culminate in the rediscovery of a sense of identity and self-acceptance, as expressed in the line: "I would rather be myself over someone else." The piece was born one evening when Lorenzo was practicing with the VSTs of the DAW, composing the evocative choruses that can be found throughout the track. The structure was defined based on the key, and after creating a complete first draft with drums, guitar, bass, and other synths, the track went through a series of iterations that included a shift toward classic rock, without synths. Subsequently, the track was reinterpreted by Lorenzo and Nicholas in a more modern key, resulting in the final version. The production, recording, and mixing were handled by Theorem Studio, with Jarno Bellasio.
