Eric Knighton (Vocalist for Brave Days): Our song Tulip is about how as a Christian, I see myself as a completely deprived wretch that needs God’s grace daily. It’s also about how we as humans try to define “closeness” with God by a feeling or an emotion rather than trusting in God himself to be there.

When it’s not from a perspective of faith, it can be about how defining your life by emotional highs and lows is very dangerous. It’s important to feel those emotions and to talk through them, but you shouldn’t let them define who you are as a person.
