Interviews: GraveMass


On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Black Metal/Death Metal band GraveMass from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

It just came to me - It just organically represented the music.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The brutality and the message – Everyone in the band has a brutal music background, it’s what we do.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Every member has known each other through the Vancouver Metal scene for many years, well over two decades

4. Each band member's favorite band?

The question was asked of each member separately and this was their reply. 

Lorde Heathen - I'm currently listening to early Immortal, but I have many favorites

Mayan Hate – Strapping Young Lad – Slayer

Murderer of Colonizers – Sick of it all and Strapping Young Lad

Bowels of Hell – Mercyful Fate and Slayer

Destroyer of Souls – Don Caballero and Strapping Young Lad

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The absolute deception and hypocrisy that is the human condition, we bring you the truth

6. Where was your last gig?

Calgary, AB, Canada

7. Where would you like to act?

We have our sights set on the European festival circuit

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Many different Brutal Death metal and Black metal bands

9. Whom not?

Anything that is not brutal

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

NO – Do it over and over …. It just becomes a way of life.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Venom, Watain, Darkthrone, Behemoth

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Blood

13. What do you think of your fans?

A loyal legion, part of the Gravemass family
