Interviews: Screaming Sunset

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Rock band Screaming Sunset from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

A burst of anger on a calm background. The idea was planned. We were mainly inspired by the strong contrast between the two words.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because it unites and blends various genres. We don't like labels. Every song definitely represents an emotion.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes for a long time. As friends and colleagues in other projects.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Vessiel: Without a doubt Metallica

Stille: Difficult question. Depends on the moment. From Guns N' Roses to In Flames...Nocte Obducta...so many.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Vessiel: Mainly my life experiences.

Stille: Everything we have to fight against every day. Impositions, feelings. Everything positive or negative transforms us into what we are. What is negative is prevalent. I prefer to live the positive, not write about it.

6. Where was your last gig?

We've never done live shows. It's a common starting idea that we've given ourselves, at least for now.

7. Where would you like to act?

Vessiel: There would be too many beautiful places.

Stille: Fantasizing... Red Rocks Amphitheater is magic

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Vessiel: Considering my various styles, it's difficult to answer.

Stille: I've always been fascinated by female voices. Even here I fantasize...a collaboration with Cristina Scabbia, Luana Caraffa, Tatiana Shmayluk, or Jessie Williams.

9. Whom not?

Vessiel: Too many people.

Stille: With anyone who does trap. Damn, we got a country overrun with trappers and autotune.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Vessiel: No, having never done a live show, everyone has to live the experience by making mistakes and learning.

Stille: I don't play live, I don't know. More than stage fright, I'd be afraid of people not getting the message I want to convey. Advice for beginners? Have fun!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Vessiel: In some cases Metallica and Iron Maiden.

Stille: All those I've mentioned so far...I also say Metallica and Iron Maiden, Ozzy, B.L.S., Rotting Christ...but also Insomnium, Trivium, Disturbed, Afterhours...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

During a radio program, we were chatting in real-time. While they were presenting some of our songs from our album "Anime Di Vetro", completely in Italian, an American listener wrote to us to have the translation of the song in real-time. Not only literally, but also with the real explanation of what we meant in relation to the music performed. Having done this, he asked if in the 70s we had ever gone on tour in the United States because our music reminded him of an Italian band on tour in those years. Too bad we hadn't been born yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love those who are curious about the message we want to send. Those who ask us for information without fully understanding the Italian lyrics. Those who got fired up with the English single, "Rules Burned", a reflection of the bombardment of fake news and today's appearances. We love those with whom we exchange opinions.

14. What do you think of our site?

We didn't know it. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of music you can listen to, by the bios, and especially by the free music area, very useful as an aggregator of bands and where you can make pleasant discoveries. The Discover country: brilliant! After a bit of reading, we said...let's introduce ourselves. And here we are.

15. Something to add?

Thank you for the opportunity and for your support. For those who want to deepen their knowledge, you can find us on Facebook, and from there you will have all the links for free listening on every platform. Thank you very much, "good music to all" and greetings from Italy \m/
