Track By Tracks: HRAEFN - Research Into Infinity (2024)
We like to think of this EP as three singles in one... Every song came out really well and every song also stands on its own
1. Research Into Infinity:
This is the first song that we have created with Terence behind the drum kit. It kicks off with a very nice stoner rock feel and the vocals might evoke some Alice in Chains vibes. It basically came out like this from the start and we didn't change a thing anymore. It's very emotive and has a pretty progressive touch musically...
2. Arcadia:
Arcadia showcases the heavy metal influences of riff meister Michael and even though it has been quite a ride to get it right, we all love the song and it sits perfectly between its two longer siblings. It's a very schizophrenic song with the long, eerie vocals contrasting the pumped up riffing. We think it's very odd but in a good way. It's the song that also refers to the album cover art the most.
3. Worldeater:
This is the longest song on the EP. It's starts off very low key with atmospheric guitars, really taking their time. But once the song kicks in, there is no more holding back. Songwritingwise, this is the most complete and elaborate song for sure. It has many layers and it's just one hell of a ride...
