Behind The Artworks: Johnny Zirkel - The Story So Far (2024)

The artwork for “The Story So Far” is a tribute to Bruce Springsteen, whose music was a big part of my childhood. My brother and I grew up listening to Springsteen with our dad, and I’ve always admired his storytelling ability. That inspired the approach I took with the songs on this record—each one is its own story. We had also just watched the Springsteen documentary before designing the cover, so maybe that was it haha

 

The album features 11 of my favorite songs I’ve written, serving as a reflection of where I’ve been—hence “The Story So Far”—and a glimpse into where my musical journey is headed next.
