Behind The Scenes: Demidead - Rorschach Test (Official Video)

The making of the Rorschach test video has been troublesome. The original script, designed by Danilo Mazzei (Maze), was reworked and rethinked many times, but after weeks of work, the idea wasn't enough representative of the song's theme, forcing Maze to start again from scratch with new ideas. The only thing that remained was the will to tell a story, a progressive descent into panic and fear.

The starting intention was to show how everyday life could be messed up by mental illnesses and for this Maze decided to center the story upon the life of a fictional painter who suffers from panic attacks and depression.

After the script was set, the band searched for the right locations to create that "familiar" taste to overturn, find a private home and a pub (Red Dog Pub), the one they hang out at.

None of the people that can be seen in the scenes are actors, and the pub scenes have been filmed with the pub full of habitué to create even more of the sense of a "normal hang out with some friends".

But the struggle is behind the corner, and here things start to get weird, for those who do not know.

All the shoots were taken in a couple of days, and with a close schedule that put some stress upon the band, but there have been some funny moments too, like the scene outside the pub in which Maze had to smoke.

Well, Maze it's the only member of the band who doesn't smoke, so Dave has to teach him and lend him a "couple" of cigarettes.

Well, take after take, Maze ended up smoking an entire pack in less than an hour, begging for mercy because of a sore throat.

In the end, the experience was amazing and satisfying for all the people involved, from the crew to the people surprised to see a camera in a corner of their local pub.
