Musically it came together very organically. Chels (Chelcey) had written a song and brought it to Hammy (Andrew) and then they worked on it together before presenting it to the rest of the band. The hook was written a long time ago by Hammy but we had never found the right place to put it in until writing ‘Better Gone.’”

Digging further into the meaning behind ‘Better Gone’ vocalist Nic Stevens describes how it is about “someone who is depressed, that’s wandering through life with some sort of entity following them around, that they just can’t get rid of, whether that be anxiety, depression, etc.”
