Jake Bartolic, lead vocalist: I was trying to write the most real Christmas song I could. I wanted to write an autobiography in a song about growing up and the reality of Christmas. I wanted the song to have a raw untouched feel so we just did stripped-down acoustic song in my living room as if we were playing the song live right next to you.
