In this new interview, we sat down with the Belgian Metal band Fate Of Destiny to ask questions about their album, "Silent Struggle".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

Silent Struggle is our debut album, and it’s a deeply personal project. Each track represents a chapter in a journey through inner conflict, resilience, and triumph. The music is a fusion of haunting melodies and heavy riffs, reflecting the emotional highs and lows of life. It’s raw, intense, and heartfelt, something we hope will resonate with listeners on a personal level.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

The title Silent Struggle represents the battles we all face that often go unseen. It’s about those moments when you’re fighting your hardest, but the world doesn’t know or understand. It captures the quiet resilience and determination needed to overcome challenges, whether they’re personal or external.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

The lyrics are a blend of individual influences and ideas to create something unique.

However, the lyrics and themes were primarily drawn from my (Jeroen) personal experiences, making this album feel raw.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

It’s hard to choose, but if I had to pick one, it would be “Unleash the Beast.” It’s the most ferocious track on the album, and it really embodies the idea of reclaiming your power and breaking free from whatever is holding you back. It’s always a standout moment when I listen to it.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what is it?

Absolutely. The message is about finding strength in the face of struggle. Life will always have its battles, but there’s power in resilience and growth. Silent Struggle is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s a path forward if you’re willing to keep fighting.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

From “Let Me In”:

"Break down the walls, let the silence fade.

Let me in, don’t push me away."

These lines capture the vulnerability and longing for connection, which is a recurring theme on the album.

They’re simple but powerful and resonate deeply with me.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Personally, this album was shaped by real-life experiences—both my own and those shared by close friends and family.

We’re incredibly proud of Silent Struggle and hope it resonates with listeners in the way we envisioned.
