Interviews: DemonScar

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band DemonScar from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?

Nza: Meds named us after throwing around a bunch of names that were not as good as DemonScar.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Nza: I feel like it best represents our emotions and some of the messages we wanna put out. Heavy hitting vocally and musically.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Nza: I’ve known Meds for 25 years. We were in a band in the late 1990s and stayed friends over the decades. Jarrad found us on Craigslist and then connected with us on Twitter after our old drummer left in February 2020.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Nza: I love Motley Crue and have followed them for most of my life. Meds is a Metallica guy and Jarrad loves Tool.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Nza: Everyday life experiences, local happenings, things that happened to us personally, or something in the past that we wanna talk about.

6. Where was your last gig?

Nza: We had one in the fall at a local watering hole. We have been busy wrapping up production on the Same Old Show album. Looking forward to playing again soon. We have a Christmas show coming up on December 20th on Long Island at Mr. Beery's in Bethpage.

7. Where would you like to act?

Nza: The sky's the limit, all over the world. We were fortunate to play some big shows in recent years and appear in a couple motion pictures. We are always expanding and finding exciting opportunities.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Nza: I'd love to be on a big festival with Motley Crue, Metallica, Misfits, Tool, COC, Judas Priest, and Maiden. The list is endless.

9. Whom not?

Nza: No one off the top of my head. Maybe Diddy. lol

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Nza: I say if you don’t feel anxious or have nerves beforehand maybe this ain’t for you. It makes me feel alive. Turn it into positive energy and rock with it.

Nza: Motley, Ramones, Social D, Metallica, COC, Priest, Maiden

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nza: To play their wedding lol

13. What do you think of your fans?

Nza: We love and appreciate them. We are so grateful that real human beings that we have never met actually listen to our music all over the world.
