Interviews: Eternal Fear
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Death Metal band Eternal Fear from Poland. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE. All the questions have been answered by Tracii (Bass player of the band)
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
The band's name actually came from nowhere. Our drummer, Vithal, was very much into the British band Anaal Nathrakh, whose songs he perceived as describing a theme of fear. The prefix 'Eternal' just fitted in well and out came our name
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We started to play Melodic Death metal through the songs we created, there was a lot of melody in them which we liked and it drove us to play
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes, we met somehow in 2022
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Personally ,I can say mine is Kreator and Disharmonic Orchestra. Vithala certainly At The Gates and the previously mentioned Anaal Nathrakh. Kajoo's taste is Metallica, Death, and related bands
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Visions for the future and fans, it means a lot to us
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was in Gliwice (Poland), at Gleiwitz Death Massacre vol1
7. Where would you like to act?
It would be cool to visit bigger metal festivals in the near future
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Definitely with our idols, Anaal Nathrakh, G,ojira or Disharmonic Orchestra. I would also love to play with Kreator or unfortunately an unfulfilled dream, Death
9. Whom not?
There are a lot of bands we wouldn't play with, I don't want to stir up controversy here so I'll leave it to myself
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
Stage fright is an inherent part of performing, but it drives us and gives us motivation to play the gig as well as we can. My advice would be to drink (or smoke) the green stuff or just de-stress and have a blast on stage!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
I think At the Gates, Wintersun, Death (later albums) and Gojira
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Once I got a request if we were selling feet photos
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are the best in the world (as well as in the universe) and from this place I want to greet each and every one of them
14. What do you think of our site?
I think it's a great thing, I'm glad that sites like this are still being created, it's a big opportunity for small bands like us. I wish you good luck and success
15. Something to add?
Wish us the best of luck and no broken strings/sticks!
