Interviews: Horror Movies In The Morning
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Metal band Horror Movies In The Morning from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?
Hammy: Back during the pandemic I had no job, I would wake up every morning and watch horror
movie marathons. Then I thought to myself, who watches horror movies in the morning?
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Nic: Quite honestly when I first started I was very scared I wouldn’t be a great fit because
the genres I’ve listened to my whole life vary, but ultimately the longer I’ve been in the
band I’d like to consider myself now a metal head as well.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Hammy: We did not. Chels and I went to the same high school actually but never talked until years
later.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Nic (Queen), Chels (Otoboke Beaver of SOAD), Hammy (Korn), Colten (Avenged Sevenfold)
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Chels: Whatever I feel strongly about or Hammy!
6. Where was your last gig?
Nic: I believe we were directly in support of Trapt at the Token Lounge.
7. Where would you like to perform?
Nic: I would love to play Pine Knob, Red Rock, and the new Sphere in Vegas.
8. Whom would you like to perform with?
Hammy: Korn or Deftones for sure.
9. Whom not?
Nic: Any band that has an ego.
Hammy: 99% of the bands we play with are awesome, there’s only
been 2-3 bands that I wouldn’t want to play with again but out of respect I will not name them.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Hammy: Luckily, I have not had stage fright since the first show we’ve ever played which is weird
because I have a fear of crowds. Not sure on any tips though, unfortunately.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Queen, Otoboke Beaver, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, etc.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Hammy: Nothing weird yet, just the usual signatures and stuff. I did once have an older gentleman ask
me for a pick which I handed over to him but I later wondered if he meant a picture. I still think
about that.
13. What do you think of your fans?
“What fans?” - Chels
Nic: I love them! Everyone that comes to our shows is super supportive
and most of them have been there since day one, can’t wait to meet more people as our
fan base grows!
14. What do you think of our site?
Nic: The site is very professional has a ton of great info about known, and up and coming
bands!
15. Something to add?
Hammy: Come catch us on tour this December!.
