Track By Tracks: Harmonize Oracle - Before The Oracle (2024)

1. Chained Spirit:

This was the first song we wrote after the release of ‘Warrior In The Night’, originally intended for our second album. The composition was primarily crafted by George Constantinou (guitars) and Panagiotis Takkides (bass), with Sozos Michael contributing his input before he joined Gloryhammer.

The author of our fantasy concept, Nicolina Papas gave us directions based on the concept and the psychological state of our warrior—the central character in the story we tell through our music. This track is dedicated to the inner struggles of our hero and the unbearable circumstances that keep us trapped, both physically and emotionally.

2. Phoenix:

This track is a unique cover of ‘Phoenix’ by Satyricon, a song we deeply connected with. On one hand, it symbolizes the rebirth of the mythical phoenix, and on the other, it reflects our own artistic rebirth.

We approached the cover in our own way, marking a shift in our sound. Dark and profound, ‘Phoenix’ stands as a symbol of transformation. For the vocals, we collaborated with Arsenios Agisilaou, who performed the lead, while Alexa Papas and Xenia Konstantinou contributed to the choral parts.

3. Crawling Among Shadows:

This track continues the fantasy story of our warrior. Chained and trapped in a living nightmare, he endures an endless cycle of doom. Yet, through his suffering, he finds strength—hidden in his weaknesses and pain. The song captures his journey toward self-discovery and rising from the shadows that haunt him.

Originally featured in our debut album, ‘Warrior In The Night’, we re-recorded the guitars and bass and revamped the production to present this track in the best form possible. We’re proud to share this updated version with our audience!

4. Shield Wall:

As huge fans of Amon Amarth, we couldn’t resist recording ‘Shield Wall’. We first recorded it in November 2021 and released it as a single in 2022, along with a YouTube video that was well-received by our audience.

Unfortunately, this track marked a turning point for us, as it was the last recording with our previous vocalist, who had to step away from the band shortly after. Despite the challenges, we had a blast creating this piece, inspired by Vikings, mythology, and epic tales—elements that align perfectly with our own fantasy concept.

5. Another Holy War:

This track was our entry for Blind Guardian’s ‘Imagination Song Contest’, held to celebrate the anniversary of their ‘Imaginations From The Other Side’ album. The challenge was to choose one of three songs, record it, make a video, and submit it—all within one week. We chose ‘Another Holy War’, and while learning, recording, mixing, filming, and editing in such a short timeframe was no easy task, we managed to pull it off. The highlight was seeing Blind Guardian react to our video. It was surreal and humbling to make it to the finals. This experience confirmed we’re on the right path, and it motivated us to keep pushing forward. Thank you, Blind Guardian, for the opportunity and the unforgettable moment!
