Interviews: Cyanide 4

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Glam Metal band Cyanide 4 from Greece. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

We were looking for a name with an impact at first we came up with the name Poison Hemlock but Cyanide won the battle and then we added the number 4 cause we are a quartet.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Cause certainly defines the way we see metal a bit shocking (image-wise) and a bit theatrical, sometimes with a party moo,d and some other times we feel one with the gutter.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Not at all, I remember placing an ad on *my space* looking for people with the same interest in playing this kind of music.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Indigo-black flag//g.a sinn-metallica//adrian-motley crue//antonis-led zeppelin.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I'd say subjects that affect our personal lives in a positive or negative way, as well as movies, books, historical events, and what is going on in the world generally. 

6. Where was your last gig?

We played a gig in the center of Athens in a club called the blackbird in April. 

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to perform at big festivals for example the Sweden rock festival would suit us the most.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We are open to collaborations nobody in particular but it would be nice if we liked the artist and his work of art.

9. Whom not?

People that we don't have anything in common for example people with different visions.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I think it's always there doesn't matter how many shows we have played in the past. For example, I do get stage fright in small venues with not many people otherwise I feel more comfortable playing in front of a lot of people and bigger stages got to do I feel more important or something.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands like W.A.S.P, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Metallica, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, Crashdiet, and Hardcore Superstar.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Sexual interaction after the gig.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We do respect people who are following us since the very beginning and we feel lucky that they are very supportive of what we do.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's very professional and a very good effort, and we need more people like you!
