Interviews: Dehumanizing Itatrain Worship
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Brutal Death Metal/Slam band Dehumanizing Itatrain Worship from China. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
The band name stemmed from a 2014 China incident where someone knelt at a subway station to worship a subway covered in anime pics. It was a sudden thought, not a carefully planned one.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Because I listened to a lot of bands like Devourment and Cephalotripsy in 2014, I naturally wanted to do it too. But there were too many slam bands at that time. So why not integrate my two favorite cultures, anime and slam?
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yeah we know each other
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Kiryu Zhang: Devourment
Jiakang Hu: Necrophagist
Zen: Tesseract
Derek: Origin
Khezk: Demetori
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I would say devourment, this is the band that inspired us to slam
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last show was held in Nanjing, China. It was a small indoor music festival.
7. Where would you like to act?
I hope that one day we can play at the Obscene Extreme Festival.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Maybe Maximum the Hormone
9. Whom not?
We welcome all kinds of collaborations except for those who are not serious about music.
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
I (vocalist) often get stage fright. LOL. Every time I'm worried about whether my performance will satisfy everyone. If you want to overcome it, warming up in advance to get yourself into the right state is a good choice.
11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
I think the weirdest thing is that they would use light sticks to perform Wotagei in the pit when we were playing.
12. What do you think of your fans?
Without the love of our fans, DIW wouldn't have achieved what it has today. I think all our fans are like my family.
13. What do you think of our site?
Good design, professional content, and excellent quality.
14. Something to add?
Make Metal Moe Again
