Interviews: Niviane
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Power Rock band Niviane from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?
The band name was actually brought up by original guitarist Claudeous Creamer (Possessed\Sadus). Many may not realize he was one of the founding members of the 1st year of the band. He has just left another project called Serpent & Seraph and they had a single they released titled "Tears of Niviane". He thought the name Niviane would make a cool band name and the rest agreed.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Although the various members of the band have many different influences we all share a love of traditional metal & power metal that leans more to the heavy side of the genre.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
No, none of us were really acquainted with each other. Some may have known others through different bands but none of us were close friends until we became band members.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
My favorite band is Evergrey
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I gather my writing inspiration from everywhere. Mythology, History, Television & Movies, Personal Experience, People Watching, or just plain fiction I invent. I listen to the music and determine what direction I want to go in with the lyrics.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last show was at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA.
7. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
I have never had stage fright therefore I have no real advice for those that do.
8. What bands have inspired you the most?
So many bands have influenced me along my musical journey including Led Zeppelin, Skid Row, Testament, Dream Theater, Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Evergrey, Savatage, Killswitch Engage and many many more.
9. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
I was asked to sign another band's T-shirt which was an odd request.
10. What do you think of your fans?
We absolutely love our fans. They are the ones that allow us to continue doing what we love.
11. What do you think of our site?
A very cool site. We love the interviews, album reviews and so much more. a great place to learn about and discover new artists.
