Track By Tracks: Ember Sea - Ahab (2024)
1. Ahab:
We start with a musical journey through the landscapes and waters of an obsessed soul, moving from calm to storm and back again.
Opening with the full force of the band, choir, and orchestra, the song quickly pulls back, leading with Eva’s vocals accompanied only by the bass. From there, it dives into rock, metal, and symphonic parts, where we not only meet a modern-day Ahab but also experience nearly all the strengths of this band.
2. Shine (My Dying Star):
A cruel yet romantic tale of unrequited love, where the lyrical protagonist shamelessly and unapologetically indulges in taking everything they can from it. Wrapped in a Gothic soundscape reminiscent of the dark 1980s, it’s a bittersweet experience you won’t forget.
3. Kaleidoscope:
Chaos in the mind, total overwhelm – but let’s dance!
Kaleidoscope grabs you by the hand and pulls you into the whirlwind of wild thoughts and emotions, forcing you to jump, twist, and change direction constantly. Razor-sharp guitars, spacey keyboards, and an irresistible drum groove carry Eva’s words through this mental firework.
4. Meet Me By The Fire:
This folky semi-ballad tells the story of two people finding each other, while also reflecting Ember Sea’s deep love for nature and humanity. Close your eyes and join us by the campfire to feel the warmth!
