Interviews About Albums: Amber Pacific - All In (2025)

In this new interview, we sat down with the American Pop Punk band Amber Pacific to ask questions about their album, "All In".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

This album embodies AP’s past, present, and future. A culmination of 20+ years of being in a band, believing in ourselves when no one else would, sharing this unbreakable bond we have as brothers. Reflecting on the touring, the struggles, and ultimately our survival. This is not a capstone, it’s a continuation of our story, and one we hope to continue writing as we enter our fifth album cycle. We’re ALL IN and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

The name, ALL IN, describes our current approach and attitude towards the next few months of this album cycle. We’ve poured our heart and soul into making this album, we’ve done nothing but say “yes” to everything that came our way last year, and wanted to show the music industry and our fellow bands that we’re willing to make that jump and continue growing our brand by playing to bigger audiences more frequently.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

I (William Nutter) have written 99% of the AP catalog, this album was no different with the exception of “Afloat” which was written by Sean Rogers, who produced, mixed, and mastered this album.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

There are so many great memories associated with each song I wrote, I don’t think I could choose just one if I had to, I have so many favorites for different reasons, I think the one that hits home for most of us is the last track of the album, “The Hero or The Villain” and it speaks to our journey, past, present, and future, it’s extremely personal and a testament to how we’ve always fought our way through against all odds and in the end, if things don’t turn out the way we had planned we are still so proud of the work we’ve done and the things we’ve accomplished.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

There are a handful of songs that reflect on our place in pop punkand, and a few that tell our story through different lenses. But we also have a splash of fun and always have an underlying meaning of hope in most of our songs at some point.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

“And when it’s over we can hold our heads up high
Another minute for a chance to sing tonight
I’m counting up all of the moments that we tried
We’ll share a toast, we’ll raise our glasses to the sky
And I will always be the soundtrack to your life”

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

I would actually say that our producer, Sean Rogers, played a big part in helping me believe in myself and in the songs that made this album, I remember sitting down and sharing the demos with him when we first met and he fell in love with nearly all of them, which is always reassuring as a writer to be validated by someone with such an impressive track record of success.

The other huge thank you is to my brothers in this band, Matt, Justin, Dango, and Brad. They are my first line of defense when it comes to telling me when something is good and they were my biggest cheerleaders throughout the writing process. Their encouragement and feedback really helped move the writing forward and we ended up with 22 songs that were almost all worthy of being on this album. That’s a first in the history of our band, we’ve never entered a studio with more than 8 - 10 songs even if the label needed 12 so I think that speaks to the impact their words had on me and how much it helped bring out some of the best songs we’ve written as a band.

8. Something to add?

We’re just as excited now as we were when we released our first EP, we’re proud of this one and can’t wait for people to hear it, it’s fresh and it’s new but it’s distinctly Amber Pacific and we hope fans of our band love it as much as we do, thanks for your time!
