Track By Tracks: Hexjakt - Hexjakt (2025)
1. Rites of fire:
This song is written to set the mood for a record or live gig. It’s an
invitation to our realm and suggests the listener be engulfed in our
flames and music. We try to make our songs heavy and atmospheric but
also have some kind of hook. It could be a melody or a phrase that
sticks around.
2. Thunder Skies
This song is supposed to feel more primitive in its expression.
Lyrically it questions our choices as humans and the destruction of our
dear planet and perhaps we need to look back on things to make for a
better future.
3. Valley of the Dead:
We all have our thoughts and voices in our heads telling us we are right
or wrong and it can sometimes be hard to navigate through the vastness
of our minds when we’re bombarded with instant information. For some, it
can be so overwhelming you choose to end it all because you can’t cope.
Mental illness is such a huge thing for us as a society to battle with.
4. The Flood:
It paints a picture of the end of the world as we know it with a big
flood. Quite self-explanatory but it’s really all about a feeling of
hopelessness and perhaps relief? You decide.
