As the first single with the band’s new lineup, it introduces a fresh artistic direction while staying true to the band's core identity. Blending powerful melodies with a more intense hardcore influence, the track embodies the group’s evolution and determination to push forward. Bastien "For me, this track was designed to bring massive energy to live shows while still respecting the DNA of Hype Lights before I joined. It’s about bringing something fresh while keeping the essence of what made the band what it is. 

Louis: I think Wear The Crown represents the renewal of Hype Lights. It’s the perfect balance between the old and the new. We’re keeping our melodic approach but mixing it with a heavier hardcore influence compared to our previous EP. It’s a great sign of what’s coming next. 

Adrien: It’s a way to take revenge on the past, to move forward while accepting what came before and staying optimistic about the future. This song reflects the mindset and the growth the band has gone through in 2024. 

Victor: For me, Wear The Crown represents a fresh start with a more assertive style and a more uplifting energy than what we used to do. It clearly marks the turning point the band is taking, especially with the new lineup and the new influences we’re bringing into Hype Lights’ sound. At its core, this song is about pushing yourself—whether in music or in everyday life. It’s about saying: ‘If you really want to do something, then go for it. Fight for it!’
