Interviews About Albums: Stacy Crowne - Second To None (2025)

In this new interview, we sat down with the German Rock band Stacy Crowne to ask questions about their album, "Second To None".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

It's our second album and we're absolutely proud of it. We recorded and produced it on our own and had quite some fun doing so. There are a lot of electric guitars, of course, but we also added some organs, pianos and percussions, and what not. The outcome is a record with 12 unique-sounding songs, but you'll definitely hear that it's Stacy Crowne!

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

It basically means that we are the best rock band out there and that Rock'n'Roll will never die! Haha!

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

The music of the songs is written by both Dustin (vocals & guitar) and Dominik (lead guitar). We've been friends for all of our lives and over the years we have learnt not to fight too much about the song. So we can give feedback to each other's ideas and have the best outcome. The lyrics are written by Dustin!

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

It's definitely hard to choose. Maybe it would even be the "slowest" one: Second to None, the title track. Why? Because it's quite different from everything we've done before.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what is it?

The world is in the worst possible state. A few of the songs clearly refer to this. Nevertheless, we must go on and not fall into resignation. That means, despite everything, we must not forget the positive things in life, and for us that includes music above all. Especially because it brings people together, which has never been more important than in times like these.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

We have a track about our whole society and almost everyone's life highly depending on the internet and social media (our selves included).

It took us ages to write the chorus but now we're happy with it:

Go and get a real life
Need more resolution!
This fiction we're watching
Got me addicted

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Some of the ideas are so old that they come from the pandemic time. that means what is obviously inspiring for us: having time for music. And because music is so time-consuming, we can only thank our friends, partners, and family for their patience and support.

Apart from that, The Hellacopters are always a good source of inspiration, hahaha!

8. Something to add?

We really appreciate this interview & the support of the underground Rock'n'Roll scene!
