Interviews: Dead Eyes
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Dead Eyes from the USA. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
During an archery class in 2009, Eric took an arrow to the knee. His teacher, frantic from all the commotion removed the arrow from his knee and placed it in his eye. One of the onlookers shouted, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!". The teacher exclaimed, "He's got Dead Eyes! We must kill it with fire."
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
It's just the music we've all been drawn to throughout our lives. We love distorted guitars and big ass drums and there's just nothing like a rock show.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Not really to be honest. We knew OF each other but like... Zach moved across the country to join the band. Jim and Eric were acquaintances. Jim and Chris were the only ones who knew each other before this band and they met on Craigslist originally(missed connections)
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Zach: Killswitch Engage
Jim: Alter Bridge
Eric: Metallica
Chris: Spite
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
If we had to pick one thing I would say people. We want to write songs that reflect both the beauty and difficulty of this existence.
6. Where was your last gig?
Lovedrafts in Mechanicsburg, PA. Love that place.
7. Where would you like to act?
Madison Square Garden would be absolutely nuts.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Nickelback.
9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
I think everyone does when they start out. The important thing is to just get up there and do it and keep doing it.
10. What bands have inspired you the most?
Sevendust, Metallica, Nickelback, Limp Bizkit
11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
They sometimes want to touch Zach's hair.
12. What do you think of your fans?
They're the best. We wouldn't be here without them. It's been beautiful to watch the Deadkru grow.
13. What do you think of our site?
We think it's great! Thank you for including us! It's sites like yours that make it possible for bands to grow.
