Interviews: Linistit

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Death Metal/Melodic Black Metal band Linistit from Italy. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or came out like that?

The came out from Angelus and Triria, they wanted to choose a name about vampires so they first thought about “senza respiro” that in English is “without breath”, but instead of using an English translation they thought about using Romanian because especially Transilvania is the place where the vampire myth came from. So the translation they found online was “Linistit” but after few years they discovered that the real meaning is “quiet” or “silent” but they decided to keep the name anyway because they like it and also because we are a black/death metal band so it’s funny our genre is noisy but our band name is literally quiet.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Angelus and Triria both come from black and death metal influences, so they chose this genre from the beginning

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Angelus and Triria, yes, Katros met them in 2015, Valak some years after and Nokka few years ago.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Triria: Dissection

Angelus: Cradle Of Filth

Katros: Agathodaimon

Nokk: Pantera

Valak: Watain

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Usually the writing process is made by Angelus for the rhythmic guitar riffs that become the base to build a track, so then the others add their riffs and Triria write the lyrics, we are taking inspiration from personal experiences, personal dreams, and spiritual things, horror movies..

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was last year, on March 7th, 2025, we will have our first gig of this year.

7. Where would you like to perform?

We would like to perform outside Italy and we already received a proposal to play abroad this September. We would also like to perform in a big festival.

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

Probably with our favourite bands or with famous bands of the metal scene, but we don’t really have a preference, we just like to play live.

9. Whom not?

We are open to playing with everyone.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Of course, before a gig there is a bit of fright, the best way is just to enjoy the moment and the experience, we also support each other, and if there are some issues we always find a solution to get out of them together.

Cradle of Filth, Agathodaimon, Death and more

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We never received a weird request from a fan. Until now.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We always appreciate our fans and how they are connected to our music.
