Interviews: Magg Dylan

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore/Hard Rock band Magg Dylan from USA. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it come out like that?

We were tossing around ideas and blended Mary Magdalene and the Outsiders - Matt Dillion because they were both outcasts. Mary is also Suzanne's middle name. We spelled it differently because of numerology.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's just what comes out when we write. That is part of why our songs cross genres.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Bruce and Suzanne met 8 weeks before the band was formed. They wrote one song and just kept writing.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

This one is super hard for us to pick one, so we did 3 of our faves....but there are so many

Brucifer - Failure, AC/DC & Def Leppard

Adam - Sleep Token, Dayseeker, & Spiritbox

Marcus - Megadeth, In Flames, & Slayer

Suzanne - Halestorm, Shinedown, & Hellyeah

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life's challenges. It's how we heal ourselves and hopefully help others.

6. Where was your last gig?

January 24th opening for Lines of Loyalty at Scandal's Virginia Beach, VA

7. Where would you like to act?

act? Suzanne went to acting school and would love to be in a movie. Little known fact, she was an extra in The New World and was offered a speaking part but had to work.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

OMG! In a world with no limits, so many possibilities, but Paramore comes to mind.

9. Whom not?

Halestorm, because what could I possibly add to Lzzy's vocals.......they are always perfect.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Absolutely, Bruce has anxiety really bad and Suzanne gets super nervous.. Rehearsal, prepare for the worst and expect the best. Enjoy the moments.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Stevie Nicks & Alanis Morissette and there are so many more, but those women are the reason I began writing.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Can't think of anything in the moment

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans sooooo much they become friends.
