Behind The Tracks: Eisige Venen - Like A Dying Ember (Single) (2025)

Like a dying ember is based on Oromis and his dragon Glaedr, who was missing a leg. from the Eragon books, his was a tragic story that I felt close to and my family even rescued a bearded dragon that’s missing a leg whom we dubbed Glaedr.

 

Musically, Like a Dying Ember was meant to be almost a ballad to fade the EP out. A last flicker before the end. We chose the more acoustic side of things for this purpose. We didn't know at the time that it would also fade out the project entirely. The name became even more appropriate at this point.
